The Color Purple Symbolism #5


1. I chose the color orange to use and focus this image on.
2. The meanings that this color can convey is enthusiastic, sunshine and being noticeable.
3. This color relates to the passage from the book because it represents the same emotions.
4. This photograph relates to the passage from the book because it shows something that’s actually enthusiastic and stands out.
5. “Then there is the shining that seems to come, really, from the moonlight, it is so luminous, but their skin glows even in the sun”.
6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because the photo of the necklace really stands out amazingly just like how all the people in Africa stood out so beautifully to Nettie.

2. The meanings this color can convey is joy, happiness, and sunshine.
3. This color relates to the passage from the book because it represents a lot of joy and happiness, the same emotions some of the characters felt.
4. This photograph relates to the passage from the book because Celie’s sister Nettie was so amazed by the people she seen in a different country and that made her feel so happy to be surrounded by people that was similar to her.
5.”Celie try to imagine a city full of these shining, blue black people wearing brilliant blue robes with designs like fancy quilt patterns”.
6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because the photo shows joy and happiness, just like how Nettie felt when she visited Africa and was amazed by the people there.

3. This color relates to the passage because it represents peace and excitement.
4. This photograph relates to the passage from the book because it shows calm and peacefulness.
5. “Sometimes I’d imagine myself being at peace and being happy. But It’s hard to imagine sometimes”.
6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because the photo shows happiness and joy, the same feelings Celie wanted to feel in the passage.

3. This color relates to the passage in the book because Harpo, one of the main characters fell in love with this girl he liked.
4. This photo relates to the passage from the book because there were many times when Celie thought about the special love her and her sister shared.

6. My photo gives me the same feeling as the passage because I have a photo of a heart that represents love and many of the characters fell in love despite the orrible things that happened.

1. I see a person made out of many medium size rocks with their hands placed on their heart.
2. Colors that I see are gray, green, and a little brown. I also see many hexagon shaped rocks.
3. Words that can be used to describe this image is, heartbreaking, stone, touched, gravity, and earth.
4. This image gives me deep emotions because this person has their hand on their heart with their eyes closed as if they’re in deep thought thinking about an old lover.
5. This image could possibly mean that this person is made out of stone now because they’ve been heartbroken in the past.

The Color Purple Symbolism #1


1. The color I chose to focus on this image is blue because it represented depression in the photo.
2. The meaning this color can convey is sadness because there’s a lot of struggles that went on and took place with the characters.
3. This color relates to the passage from the book because the main characters went through many hard times and faced many difficult challenges which caused them to become depressed about there struggles, and blue represent the depression.
4. This photograph relates to the passage because the main character was being raped and beaten and that caused her to suffer from a lot of sorrow, grief, and depression.
5. “Harpo ask his daddy why he beat me. mr.____ say, cause she my wife”.
6. My photo gives me the same feeling as the passage because the female in the photo looks depressed likes and is yearning for someone just like how the main character was.

1. I see lots and lots of bulls heads with a man standing on a pile of them and a man standing at the bottom of the pile.
2. Colors I see are tannish, black and white.
3. Words that can be used to describe this image are, tiring, power, rodeo, country, and farmers.
4. This image gives me an evil mood because these men killed all these bulls and even had the audacity to take a photo of them.
5. This photo could possibly mean that these men are very evil and don’t care about animals and their lives.

1. I see a man walking on a huge snow mountain with his own footsteps left in the snow behind him. I also see many and many pretty clouds.
2. Colors that I see are blue, white and black. I also see many triangular shaped mountains.
3. Words that can be used to describe this image is freezing, blurry, snowy, journey, and savior.
4. This image gives me a courageous mood because this man looks like he’s so brave and courageous walking this huge mountain all alone by his self.
5. This photo could possibly mean that this man is someone’s hero and that he might be on his way to rescue someone in these huge cold mountains.

1. I see many leaves with different shades of amazing colors. I also see branches, bushes and a small hill.
2. Colors that I see are green, yellow, peach, orange, red, and brown. I also see many wrinkle lines and circular shapes.

4. This gives me a calm mood because the scenery looks calms and very relaxing.

1. I see something that looks similar to a junkyard with useless cars and car parts. I also see a tree that looks like it has no life to it. I also see the sky and it looks kind of blue-ish purple-ish.
2. Colors I see are violet, peach, blue, and black. I also see many shapes like rectangles and hexagons. I also see many vertical lines.
3. Words that can be used to describe this image is interesting, junky, abandoned, disaster, and mechanic.
4. The mood that this image gives me is an eerie mood because this junkyard looks empty and abandoned.
